Why we started here

Every real estate site is built for one browser tab and one opinion. The moment a second person needs to weigh in — a partner, a parent, a future roommate — the search falls apart into screenshots, forwarded links, and group chats nobody can find again.

AstraHomes starts from the opposite assumption: house hunting is almost never a solo decision, so the tool shouldn't treat it like one.

What's live today

• Natural-language search, so you can describe a home in plain words instead of filling out a wall of dropdowns.
• Group matching, so everyone swipes the same list independently and a match means the hard part is already done.
• Live MLS listings, sourced through Astra Realty Group, Brokerage, a licensed Ontario real estate brokerage.

This blog and a set of city pages, covering Toronto and 14 surrounding GTA municipalities with real neighbourhood detail and live listings, launched alongside this post. We'll keep adding both: more cities, and regular posts on what's actually happening in GTA housing — inventory, pricing, and the neighbourhoods people are searching for.
