Privacy Policy

What we collect

Account information. If you create an account, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and any profile details you provide (such as your name). We do not see or store your password.

Search queries. If you use the natural-language search bar, the text you type is used to find matching listings.

Group and match activity. Once group matching is live, we will store who you invite, which listings your group swipes on, and the matches that result, so the feature can work.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited and which buttons are clicked. This helps us find what is broken or confusing.

The demo swipe card on the home page is different. It runs entirely in your browser using sample listings. Nothing you swipe there is saved, sent to a server, or tied to your account.

Where it is stored

Account data is held by Clerk. Product data, once features that need it are live, is held in a Supabase database. Both are processed as service providers on our behalf, not sold or shared for their own marketing purposes.

Listings are not personal data about you

Listing details shown on AstraHomes come from MLS data supplied through a licensed Ontario real estate brokerage. See the MLS disclaimer for how that data is licensed and its limits.

Data retention

We keep account and product data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, your profile and group membership are removed; some records may be kept longer where needed for legal, security, or accounting reasons.

Security

We rely on our service providers' security controls (Clerk for authentication, Supabase for data storage) and restrict access to production data to the people who need it to operate AstraHomes.

Children's privacy

AstraHomes is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 18.

Your choices

• You can use natural-language search without an account.
• You can ask us to access, correct, or delete your account data at any time.
• You can close your account, which removes your profile and group membership.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as AstraHomes changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
